BCC, the outcome of perseverance and collaboration
One of the greatest dreams of leading Basque chefs was to have a university centre which would guarantee knowledge sharing and train future chefs according to a modern and distinct vision. Their dream became a reality when, thanks to their tenacity and collaborative spirit, the Basque Culinary Center was founded; a world pioneering teaching centre managed by the Basque Culinary Center Foundation. This patronage, as the result of institutional and business support, is comprised of chefs, public institutions and leading companies in the sector of technology, food and drink.
The seven chefs who actively participated in launching the BCC, Juan Mari Arzak, Martín Berasategui, Pedro Subijana, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Hilario Arbelaitz, Eneko Atxa and Karlos Arguiñano, joined by Diego Guerrero, continue to be very closely tied to the project.
